Artist: Utada Hikaru
Reason: Utada has almost complete control over her voice, which is very much needed to make a song good. She writes and composes her own songs too, and even helps with the mixing. Also, her lyrics have deep meanings in them (the exception being Boku wa Kuma); sometimes, they’re even poetic.
Album: Utada Hikaru – Exodus
Reason: I think this is the only album that can be only listened to as an album. If you try and listen to the songs individually or shuffled around, the feel isn’t there. It’s a shame this wasn’t a hit in the United States, since Exodus is way better than half the junk American artists produce these days.
Song: 郑中基 (Ronald Cheng) – 无赖 (Mo Lai)
Reason: What can I say? This is the funniest song I’ve ever heard of, and probably the first Cantonese song that I can understand. Everything I actually bother paying attention to the lyrics, it makes me laugh. Plus, Ronald Cheng is one of the only good Cantopop singers left in the Hong Kong music scene these days.
Anime: Code Geass

Reason: Code Geass is not your typical anime. Not happy hero, pretty romances and happily-ever-after’s. I love the storyline to death, and Lelouch, the main character, is a better version of Light from Death Note. C.C is my favourite character in the anime! The art and animation is pretty good for shounen animes too.
Drama: Last Friends

Reason: First of all, Utada’s song, “Prisoner of Love”, is in here. Also, the cast itself is pretty strong, not to mention a really developed story too. It’s never too slow in terms of the plot, and the cast is so good, you’ll want to watch it without subs!

Wow.
I totally agree with the Exodus album! Heart Station is somewhat like that too.
Man Hikki just rocks this world!
HEART STATION was more individual songs than the album as a whole for me. Hikki does rock, and rules this world! =D
